eMarketer recently released a report highlighted 16 forces that will either help or hinder digital video and TV advertising. Executive Summary: Someday, online video will almost certainly become so disruptive that TV advertising will have to integrate with it. Several forces are in play that will likely fuel that eventual fusion, most notably the availability of high-quality video content and associated advertising across five increasingly used digital screens— desktop computers, notebook computers, smartphones, tablets and connected TVs.

Tod Sacerdoti BrightRoll CEO and Founder, wrote the article “The TV Viewership Fallacy” in response to an earlier article “Don’t Mean to be Alarmist, But the TV Business May Be Starting to Collapse

Tod Writes, “Once you understand that TV viewing has been grossly overstated, it becomes much easier to understand why the digital video advertising business is growing at 50% a year. We can argue about the percentage modifications, but we can’t argue that modifications are required.

Advertisers understand this fact intuitively as they all consume more free content on the web and on their phones, and they are moving their budgets as a result. It doesn’t matter if the TV pundits change their minds, because they are facing a trend of inevitability.”

BrightRoll macht Bestandsaufnahme beim Video Advertising in Deutschland
