Since being measured by comScore, BrightRoll quickly entered the top 10 group and continues to be the largest video ad network in comScore’s top video properties ranking*, which reports all video properties. Based on this ranking for the month of May, BrightRoll reached three times more users than the next largest video ad network. BrightRoll’s top three status is even more significant given that it was measured on comScore’s measurement of actual video reach, as opposed to the “potential reach” numbers touted by video networks historically.
“BrightRoll’s top three comScore ranking is a testament to the scale of our business, both in terms of publisher relationships and technology, and to the validation of the efficiencies we are providing to the industry as a whole,” said Tod Sacerdoti, BrightRoll CEO and co-founder. “We founded this company to help branded advertisers execute smart video campaigns across quality inventory, combining the reach of television with the best targeting on the Web. We’ve stayed focused on both our advertiser and publisher customers over the past years, and now we’re seeing the results of those efforts. Entering this list of elite properties in an ad network capacity speaks to the longevity and leadership of what we’re doing as a company.”
BrightRoll’s comScore ranking complements the proprietary industry analysis tools that the company already has in place. BrightRoll recently surveyed 150 advertising agency executives to get a better sense for what brand advertisers are looking for in their online video buys. The company is also conducting a new research initiative with Nielsen called Video Impact, aimed at tracking customer behavior in response to viewing video ads.
*comScore Video Metrix Key Measures Report represented in this release includes both Video Content Providers and Video Servers/Ad Networks.
