Software Engineer

BrightRoll is looking for a solid, energetic Senior Software Engineer to work on some important adserver technology. We have a small, agile engineering team in the financial district of San Francisco. This person would report to the CTO.

Ruby / Rails / Merb Software Engineer

BrightRoll is looking for a solid, energetic Software Engineer to work on some important adserver technology. We have a small, agile engineering team located in the financial district of San Francisco. This person would report to the CTO.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

    The qualified candidate will be responsible for the design, research, implementation, and maintenance of our core Ruby on Rails and Merb applications. This job should not require any travel and will only be at our headquarters in downtown San Francisco.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent
  • 2+ years software development experience
  • 6+ months of development in Ruby on Rails or Merb
  • Experience building Ajax interfaces is required
  • Commercial Test Driven Development or Agile development experience

Flex / Actionscript Developer

BrightRoll is looking for a solid, energetic Flex / Actionscript developer. We treat Flex / Actionscript / Flash development as a traditional software engineering process. We have a small, agile engineering team with a sane development process. This person would be the primary owner of all Flex / Actionscript projects. This is a full-time position in our San Francisco office and will report to the CTO.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Handle all Flex / Actionscript interface designs and implementation.

Product Manager

BrightRoll is at a significant new stage in its growth and has an immediate opening for a world-class product manager. The product manager will drive the strategy, definition, and implementation of specific features of the BrightRoll platform. The full-time position will report to the director of product management and be involved in the entire product lifecycle, from initial requirements gathering to successful product rollout to upgrade and end-of-life strategy.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Managing one or more functional areas of the BrightRoll product pipeline, including gathering requirements, writing detailed product specifications, and collaborating with engineering to meet targets
  • Product formulation including usability design and customer research
  • Metrics tracking and advanced reporting
  • Support development of business cases for new products or services including, but not limited to, preparation of material for executive/board meetings

REQUIREMENTS :

  • Minimum of 3 years of product management experience

Director, Network Development – Publisher Lead

The Director, Network Development – Publisher Specialist will lead a team responsible for building, managing and growing key strategic partnerships with the upper-most echelon of video-centric web publishers.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced sales-focused business developer who can bring their BD and traditional selling skills to BrightRoll to close and manage complex, revenue-focused partner relationships. The ideal candidate excels in a player/coach role and has experience managing a team of two or more direct reports.

You will report to and work with the Vice President, Network Development to manage your goals, your team’s goals, business quotas, and both existing and new publisher account relationships, including handling publisher inquiries, resolving concerns, and making outbound requests to publishers to further BrightRoll’s strategic initiatives. To be successful in this role, you should be very comfortable with the end to end consultation and problem-solving elements of selling. You and your team will educate prospects on the BrightRoll value proposition and attend prospect and client meetings. You’ll work closely with the media, sales, product and technology teams to help drive the business’ overall goals.

Your team will be responsible for helping to manage the publisher integration process, working closely with the Media team, and you’ll put your analytical skills to work to ensure that these partners achieve specific objectives.

REQUIREMENTS :

  • BA/BS or equivalent required
  • High level of experience in platform sales, partner management, strategic account management, and/or a similar client-facing role with an Internet or search company and understanding of online video advertising
  • Experience with Internet video a huge plus.
  • Revenue focused, negotiation and analytical skills across contractual, technical and financial areas all pluses
  • High level of comfort escalating and presenting key deal issues to senior management

You will report to and work with the Vice President, Network Development to manage your team’s goals, new business quotas, and existing partner account list, including handling partner inquiries, resolving concerns, and making outbound requests to partners to further BrightRoll’s strategic initiatives. As this is a hybrid hunter/farmer/manager role, you should be very comfortable with the consultation and problem-solving elements of selling. You and your team will educate prospects on the BrightRoll value proposition and attend prospect and client meetings. You’ll work closely with the media, sales and tech teams to help drive the business’ overall goals.

Your team will be responsible for helping to manage the partner onboarding process, including selling, training and service, and you’ll put your analytical skills to work to ensure that these partners achieve specific objectives.

  • High level of experience in platform sales, partner management, strategic account management, and/or a similar client-facing role with an Internet or search company and understanding of online video advertising
  • Experience with large-scale buyers of Internet video a huge plus (e.g. ad networks)

Ad Traffic Coordinator

We’re looking for an Ad Traffic Coordinator. You will be an essential part of the Media Group, working to implement online video ad campaigns. This will include video encoding, ad code testing and trafficking, ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting of campaigns, and ad hoc reporting.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Traffic, test, and maintain campaigns
  • Monitor and reconcile delivery across 3rd party ad serving systems
  • Interface with clients and 3rd party vendors to ensure correct implementation of ad code and creative assets, troubleshooting as necessary
  • Work directly with Account Management team to set up campaigns and meet campaign delivery deadlines and goals
  • Support Sales team to execute campaign commitments and optimization
  • Encode creative assets per client specifications
  • Ad hoc reporting

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA/BS in quantitative field
  • Familiarity with DART, Atlas, Eyeblaster, Pointroll preferred

Online Production Designer

We’re looking for a Production Designer. You will be an essential part of the Media Group, working to produce and revise banner and video assets for our large portfolio of clients and campaigns. This job is located in our downtown SF headquarters office and reports to the Director of Media.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Edit videos using Final Cut
  • Encode videos using Quicktime Pro and FLV encoding software
  • Produce and revise existing banner creative using Photoshop
  • Work directly with Account Management team to set up campaigns and meet campaign delivery deadlines and goals
  • Create custom banner units and ad unit features for our clients
  • Assist with sales demo asset needs and corporate collateral needs

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Strong experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, GIF/JPEG banner manipulation
  • Familiarity with Quicktime Pro, Final Cut, and FLV encoding software
  • Proven ability to manage projects using external service providers
  • Must be able to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously and be able to switch tasks at a moments notice

Associate Campaign Manager

We’re looking for an Associate Campaign Manager to work in our Media department. This position is core to our business and the right person will gain a ton of experience while contributing directly to the company’s bottom line. This is a ideal first job for someone interested in advertising, online video, and understanding how ad campaigns work from start to finish.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

    In support of the Publisher Network Manager, you will manage online advertising campaigns. You will create, optimize, and complete campaigns from end to end. You will generate reports for clients and partners. You will trouble-shoot campaign issues and drive home solutions for these situations. You will be the focal point for all communication between sales, media, clients, and publishers for any campaigns you are managing.

    BS/BA Required – undergraduate experience in mathematics, economics, or science recommended. Candidates from top-tier institutions desired. This is an entry-level position.

    This job should not require any travel and will only be at our headquarters in downtown San Francisco.
