Tim Avila is senior vice president of marketing operations at BrightRoll and brings over 15 years of experience in product strategy and marketing to the company. Tim leads corporate marketing and communications, product marketing and strategy, in addition to business intelligence for the company. Tim is responsible for aligning corporate positioning throughout the marketplace, while supporting accelerated revenue growth.
Prior to BrightRoll, Tim worked at Yahoo! where he helped define product related needs and priorities for the Yahoo display ad network, video ad platform and the Right Media Exchange. His other experience includes group marketing director for CMP Media’s Electronics Group where he was responsible for marketing and communications strategy for 30 leading media brands. He has also held various marketing roles in startup companies in both the energy and biotech industries. Tim holds a BS and an MBA from Santa Clara University.
Tim is a leader in the key advertising industry initiatives. He currently co-chairs the IAB Quality Assurance Guidelines Initiative and is actively involved with the Making Measurement Make Sense (3MS) initiative to define viewable impression standards. As a former co-chair of the IAB Digital Video Committee, Tim drove the efforts for development of the industry’s first video ad format and ad serving standards.
